Our employee‑owners collaborate across specialties, combining creativity, precision, and deep expertise to solve the most complex challenges facing our clients and communities.In the role of Geotechnical Engineer, we'll count on you to:Plan and prepare geotechnical investigations or design activities that have significant impact on major company programsParticipate in marketing efforts of both internal and external clientsOrganize, conduct, and coordinate or manage geotechnical investigations for transportation and other projectsPerform geotechnical technical analyses, prepare geotechnical reports and coordinate with designers to implement recommendationsPerform complex engineering assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresMake decisions on design and engineering procedures as neededFunction as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this positionSupervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as neededPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMinimum 3 years of Geotechnical ExperienceMaster of Science Degree in Civil/Geotechnical EngineeringExperience with large-scale TxDOT projects #LI-KT1QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications, MicroStation or other software as appropriate Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement, seepage and deep foundation response software, as appropriateExperience with Bentley suite of geotechnical data management and visualization software (gINT/OpenGround/LeapFrog)An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
